WHEN INSPECTION MATTERS

Find problems while they can still be corrected.

Quality disputes become more expensive once goods are packed, shipped or received overseas. An on-site inspection gives your team another decision point before shipment.

01

Before final payment

Review finished or near-finished goods before releasing the final balance, where this fits your commercial process.

02

Before shipment

Check visible quality, quantities, packing and order requirements before cargo leaves the supplier.

03

During production

Identify recurring workmanship or specification issues early enough for the factory to investigate and correct them.

04

For new suppliers

Add independent inspection evidence to your approval process when working with a factory for the first time.

INSPECTION TYPES

Choose the inspection point that matches your risk.

The right inspection stage depends on production status, product complexity and what your buying team needs to decide.

Pre-Production Inspection

  • Raw materials and components made available
  • Approved references and production readiness
  • Key specifications before bulk production
  • Potential early-stage inconsistencies

During Production Inspection

  • Work-in-progress quality observations
  • Recurring workmanship issues
  • Measurements and specification checks
  • Production progress visible at inspection

Final Random Inspection

  • Finished-goods quality observations
  • Quantity, assortment and packaging checks
  • Defect findings from the agreed sample
  • Shipment-readiness observations

Container Loading Inspection

  • Carton and shipment identity checks
  • Loading quantity observations
  • Container condition where visible
  • Loading and seal documentation where agreed

Discuss an inspection
01

Inspect suppliers you found yourself

You do not need to source through Primeval. We can review an order placed with a supplier you identified independently, subject to feasibility and access.

02

Scope matched to your PO

The inspection can focus on the product, measurements, packing, labels and risks that matter for your specific order.

03

Local execution in India

On-ground inspection helps bridge the visibility gap when your buying team cannot be physically present at the supplier.

04

Clear evidence and limitations

We document what was checked, what was observed and the limits of the inspection so your team can interpret the findings appropriately.

FAQ

Quality inspection questions

For an order-specific question, send the supplier details, product information and preferred inspection stage.

Can you inspect an order from a supplier I found independently?

Yes. The supplier can come from Alibaba, IndiaMART, a trade fair, a referral or direct sourcing. The order does not need to have been sourced through Primeval.

Which inspection type should I choose?

It depends on production status and your main risk. Pre-production checks focus on readiness, during-production checks look for issues while goods are being made, final inspection focuses on finished goods, and loading inspection focuses on shipment loading.

Can you use my own inspection checklist?

Yes. Share your PO, approved sample, specification sheet, packing instructions or checklist and we can review which checks can reasonably be included in the agreed inspection scope.

Does an inspection guarantee the whole order is defect-free?

No. An inspection reports findings from the agreed scope and inspected sample at a point in time. It does not guarantee every unit or replace laboratory testing, certification or other specialist compliance work where those are required.

Can inspections be arranged across India?

Potentially, yes. Availability depends on the factory location, access, travel and scheduling. Send the full factory address so Primeval can confirm feasibility.

How much does a quality inspection cost?

The quotation depends on location, inspection type, scope, product complexity and time required. Submit the order details and we can review the requirement before quoting.
