About this product
Three narrow, matching fabric strips lend this deep-plum cushion cover a subtle banded surface. The strips run horizontally across the middle area, each creating a slight raised ridge against the otherwise plain slub-style woven face. Their spacing is measured and consistent, giving the cushion a composed, tailored appearance without the need for prints, embroidery or bright accents.
Plum is a strong but versatile colour for ivory upholstery, warm grey bedding, dark timber and muted mauve accessories. Because the narrow bands are made in the same shade as the body, the effect changes with lighting: the rich colour is dominant from a distance, while the delicate fabric folds become more apparent up close. It is a useful companion to plain cushions or covers with one broad folded panel, adding repetition without making the front busy.
The proposed method uses three self-fabric strips approximately 1.5 cm wide, with gaps of about 2.5 cm. Their long edges are folded and topstitched, and both ends finish neatly at the side seams. Physical sampling determines the final profile, fabric make-up and closure.
